As I began to look and do my research a few months back for a small family getaway, I always have things on my list that I want my stay to have and offer depending on where we go! I came across ReTreet Resort through instagram. I looked through their website and knew immediately that I wanted to try to stay here. A couple of things that caught my eye were - a small and secluded place, a cabin, very family oriented and the view! I’m all about a view that I can step out to drink my coffee. I loved that it was the sunrise that I got to wake up to every morning and watch as my family were asleep!

As I got there and the getaway began, I sat here by the fire, all cozy in my blanket, listening to an owl talk, I am reminded how blessed I am to live this precious life with my family and grateful to come and slow down and enjoy my family.

We came up to ReTreet for three whole (cold) days to stay in their, Yellowstone themed cabin, and the theme made me feel like home, in East Tennessee. Had that southern charm in a cabin in the woods, while looking over Guntersville lake to relax, recharge and make memories. This was our first vacation getaway as a family of four. It was the perfect three days we could have chosen. It’s in the middle of the busy holiday season which mama and daddy needed, It was cold for one, perfect for a cozy blanket, sitting by the fire every night.  Two, we made a lot of new traditions with our two kids, we made; Christmas cookies, watched Christmas movies, did a huge puzzle, read endless books and our daughters new favorite thing is to go on the, “vroom vroom” (ATV.)

Our Cabin was perfect for our family including our husky. We enjoyed our time doing all the family amenities, and spacious living area that they had to offer. After the kids went to bed, My husband and I got to slow down from life, no work, no kids (for a little bit) and got to enjoyed the hot tub, sitting by the little fire on he porch, and just talked about anything and everything. It was to slow down and be with each other. My husband enjoyed a day of fishing down at the lake for his little to himself while I enjoyed siting on the porch, drinking my coffee as I smell the crisp air while looking at the calm water below. We enjoyed sitting by the fire as a family while we grilled up some dinner for the evening. We sat around the table with all smiles and laughter of being just us. We needed this time together!

I highly suggest coming to ReTreet to reset and slow down from life. They have everything you need to, hot tubes, saunas, putting green, disc golf course, games, grills and etc. You can also bring your dog along which was a big thing for ne as our dog is a huge part of our family, they love having your pets to come with you as there’s even stuff for them to do like a, dog park! You read that right, dog park fun for your pet! I would say whether you are a wanting some time to yourself or a couple that needs a few days alone together, you may can benefit from Tent or Treehouse. Or if you are a family, that wants to slow down with their kids or a group of friends that just want to make new traditions and memories in one of their four themed cabins. It is the sweet time you will have making unforgettable memories.
